Venue: Rm 302, Crew Building, King's Buildings | City: Edinburgh, United Kingdom
Our bi-monthly CCS Group meeting for researchers in our partner institutes.
The CCS Group returns to the University of Edinburgh, and another interesting programme is taking shape, which will include what we hope will be a lively panel Q&A session. This time, we welcome Chris Bryceland from Scottish Enterprise, who will be talking about a recent techno-economic analysis of the Central North Sea as potential CCS hub. Kirsty Anderson of the Global CCS Institute will speak about public engagement, and may bring along a few surprises. Legal experts Prof John Paterson, University of Aberdeen, and Navraj Singh Ghaleigh, University of Edinburgh, will be considering the regulatory and legal issues raised by CCS. We’ll also hear more about CO2 utilisation research into solar fuels from Oluwafunmilola Ola, Heriot-Watt, and the legal theme continues with a talk on contractual liabilities by William McCallig, University of Aberdeen. Time allowing, we’ll also provide the usual news and policy developments, and funding opportunities.
Email us to be kept informed about future CCS Group meetings.
