A high-level discussion hosted by Imperial College’s Energy Futures Lab on the future of carbon capture and storage (CCS) in the UK brought together a panel of experts from industry and academia, including Dr Graeme Sweeney, Chair of SCCS’s Advisory Board.
Dr Sweeney, who also chairs the EU’s Zero Emissions Platform, was joined by Professor Geoff Maitland, Director of the Qatar Carbonates and Carbon Storage Research Centre, Mike Thompson, Head of Carbon Budgets for the Committee on Climate Change and Jim Ward, Business Development Director at the Energy Technologies Institute.
The event was chaired by former Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, Sir Ed Davey.
