Lab equipment includes a Micromeritics Gemini VII Series Surface Area Analyzer for pre-screening for CO₂ adsorption capacity of porous materials. It is set up to measure the CO₂ adsorption capacity from 0.05 - 1.0 atmosphere of CO₂ and fitted with a chiller bath to enable measurements at the common reference temperatures of 0°C and 25°C.

In addition there is a TA Instruments SDT Q600 from which the TGA/DSC provides data on organic content, which then enables assessment of the efficiency of amine groups for CO₂ adsorption.

  • Pre-screening for CO₂ adsorption capacity of porous materials for use with CCS
  • Analysis on organic content of adsorbents & estimation on the molecular adsorption efficiency for CCS
  • AMPGas (Adsorption Materials and Processes for Carbon Capture from Gas-Fired Power Plants)
